A home that grows with you
Challenging three-storey living: helping buyers see beyond the floorplan.
For Curo Homes at Withies Green in Keynsham, we created an interactive cut-through of The Bruton, showing how the same rooms can adapt as life changes.
Most buyers don’t choose a home for how they live now. They choose it for how they’ll live in five, ten or fifteen years’ time. A floorplan shows the rooms. It doesn’t show how those rooms will change as the family does.
From floorplan to cut-through
The journey starts where buyers expect it to, on the housetype page with the floorplans. From there, one tap opens a full CGI cut-through. The elevation of the house is lifted away, so every floor is visible, side by side: the kitchen and dining space on the ground floor, the bedrooms above, all furnished and lit.
Next, how could you see that space working for you the buyer
A range of different layouts and room options to choose from, lets buyers pick that space design, and the camera pans to the room that changes while the CGI updates to show it.
Bedroom one on the first floor tells the longest story and gives great detail on how that space could be visualised:
- Nursery. Across the landing from the principal bedroom, with room for a cot, a feeding chair and a changing table.
- Age five. A bed in the middle of the room, with floor to play on all the way round and low shelves within reach.
- Age ten. A mid sleeper with a proper desk underneath, so homework and sleep each get their own space.
- Age fifteen. A room with a door that stays shut, and space for a desk, a screen and a collection that’s getting serious.
- Second living room. Not every bedroom has to stay one. A quiet sitting room upstairs, for when the ground floor is busy.
On the second floor, bedroom two becomes a playroom and bedroom three a home office.
Each stage comes with a short piece of copy written the way a buyer would think about the room, not the way a spec sheet would necessarily describe it.
Why selling something that grows with you is so important
A static CGI shows one version of a home. Real families go through multiple life phases.
- Buyers see their own future in the house. Not a generic show home, but the stage of life they’re planning for.
- The same square footage, shown working harder. Every room earns its place across years, not just on move-in day.
- A better conversation in the sales suite. The sales team can ask “where will you be in five years?” and show the answer on screen.
It’s the difference between showing a buyer a house and showing them a home.
A big thank you to the Curo Homes team for a brilliant brief.
